Bodies of two tourists, who drowned in Jog Falls last week, were recovered on Wednesday, by diver Jyoti Raj, popularly known as ‘Koti Rama’.
Three tourists from Hubli drowned in the river Sharavathi and the divers’ team could fish out the bodies of only two, braving rain and gushing water.
Former minister A M Hindasageri, who was present during the search operation, said that he would appeal to Tourism Minister R V Deshpande, also the Chairperson of Jog Development Authority, to construct protective walls around the Jog Falls to ensure tourists’ safety.
