Mangaluru: The body of Anoop Poojary (31), one among five soldiers from Maratha Light Infantry (MLI) unit killed in an accident in the Balnoi area of Mendhar region in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, arrived in a special aircraft at Mangaluru Airport in wee hours on Thursday.

Anoop’s mortal remains will be brought in an open vehicle in a procession from Tekkatte to his hometown Beejadi, passing through Koteshwar. Arrangements had been made for the final rites, which will take place at Padushale in Beejadi, family sources added.
