Bollywood stunt master Sattar Ahmed Khan alias Munnabhai (33) was killed in a road mishap near Yashodapura village in the taluk on Tuesday.
Car driver Umesh of Bengaluru and another passenger Kumar have sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to a hospital.
The Bollywood film crew was on its way to Madikeri from Bengaluru for the shooting of Hindi film ‘Utkarsha’, when the mishap occurred. Speaking to DH, Circle Inspector Poovaiah said the car was speeding on national highway 275, when a boar came on the way. The car driver tried to avoid it, lost control and rammed the vehicle against the divider. Sattar died on the spot. Rural Police have registered a case.
