The bust size statue of Guddemande Appayya Gowda, near Sudarshana Circle in Madikeri, will be unveiled by Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda on January 2.
Assembly Speaker K G Bopaiah visited the ongoing work on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Dr N V Prasad, Additional DC K M Chandre Gowda, CMC President H M Nanda Kumar and others were present on the occasion, along with party workers.
