Coalition Coordination Committee chairman Siddaramaiah on Sunday said Cabinet reshuffle would take place after the Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking to reporters here, he said, “There are many aspirants for ministerial berths. Not everyone can become a minister. Is it possible to accommodate 20 persons for six vacant berths,” he questioned.

“Unhappy legislators will not go to the BJP. The communal party is now a sinking ship,” Siddaramaiah added.

‘Ramesh a Congman’

On the rumours about Ramesh Jarkiholi quitting as MLA, Siddaramaiah said, “Ramesh Jarkiholi will not quit. He is a Congman. He was dropped from the ministry to accommodate his family member. I have no idea about the audio tape.”

To a query on veteran Congress leader Ramalinga Reddy expressing his anguish against a few leaders for blocking his entry into the Cabinet, the former chief minister said, “No one is involved in blocking Ramalinga Reddy’s entry into the Cabinet. AICC president Rahul Gandhi has given his approval for the list of legislators inducted into the Cabinet. Ramalinga Reddy was aspiring to become a minister. He is disappointed for not having made it to the ministry.”
