The exams were held at the L V Polytechnic centre in Hassan, on Sunday. Many aspirants both men and women, attending the examination were wearing either 3/4th or full-sleeve dresses.

The exam centre staff did not allow them to enter the hall with full-sleeved clothes citing norms to prevent any malpractices.

While the candidates pleaded with the staff to allow them inside, the staff did not budge. The exam centre staff said the dress code was clearly mentioned in the admission card.

The candidates were allowed to write the exam after the centre staff cut the full-sleeves.
