A group of techies held a candlelight vigil, near Udupi Garden in BTM Layout, on Sunday evening, condemning the killing of a techie, allegedly by a Hindu group in Pune.

The candlelight vigil was organised by iTech, a support centre and a welfare organisation for techies in Bangalore. Around 30 techies, working in various software firms, came together for the vigil.

Senthil, a volunteer for iTech, said, “Mohsin Sheikh was bludgeoned to death after a mob went on a rampage. He was killed for no fault of his and this is unacceptable in this modern society.” Another techie said, “Hope the government and the police take necessary action against the accused.”
