Speaking to DH, an official, who attended the meeting, said that additional police personnel from other districts would be deployed at the dam and security would be beefed up.

With just a few months away for the Assembly polls, the verdict has created a lot of curiosity. In case the verdict goes against the state, the agitation would be intensified in Mysuru and Mandya region. The political parties too might try to take advantage of the situation. But it is the farmers, who are more anxious about the Cauvery verdict.

DySP Vishwanath, CPI Ravindra, Internal Security division DySP Viswanath, and Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Superintending Engineer Vijaykumar attended the meeting.
