CB Pur improves its position in SSLC results

The district has earned 77.7 per cent result from the last year’s poor 59.59 per cent. The students of government and private schools have secured distinction to improve the district’s position this year.

Among the taluks, Gudibande stands first with 89.42 per cent and Gauribidanur is in the last place despite achieving 70 per cent of results.Considering last year’s poor performance, the Public Instruction Department had taken several measures from special classes to preparatory exam to help students fare better. Even, workshops were conducted to instill confidence among the students.

The department had even organised interaction between the students and their parents with regard to the examinations.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Deputy Director of Public Instruction C U Chandrashekhar said “Chikkaballapur is considered as the backward district. But we wanted the district to fare well in education.” Various measures taken by the department, commitment of teachers and students’ hardwork has finally paid off, he added.
