The Hennur police and CCB officials arrested one suspect for drug smuggling and illegal stay.

The police recovered 55 grams of MDMA and 3 kg of ganja from him, with a combined estimated value of Rs 8 lakh. The suspect had a prior case related to drug smuggling, officials said.

Six foreign nationals, including three women, were arrested in the Chikkajala, Amruthahalli, and Vidyaranyapura police station limits for staying illegally. They have been sent to the foreigners' detention centre for further legal proceedings.

In addition, two people staying illegally were arrested in the Govindapura and Puttenahalli police station limits for skipping court hearings after securing bail.

The police said both had outstanding warrants in drug-related cases and were taken into custody. They have been remanded to judicial custody.
