Centenary fete of Titimati school

The centenary celebrations of the Government Model Primary School, Titimati, will be organised on February 23 and 24, the Centenary Committee working president Cheppudira Ramakrishna said.

He told media persons that the alumni meet, felicitation to the retired teachers, sports events and cultural programmes are being planned to mark the celebrations.

The sports tournament will be conducted on February 23. Flag hoisting, illumination of the sports lamp and mass drill by students have also planned. International sportsperson Paruvanda C Suguna Ponnappa will inaugurate the celebrations. Veteran sportsperson Cheppudira Cariappa, Air force Commander (Retd) C M Belliyappa will distribute the prizes, he added.
The formal programme will be held on February 24. A procession will be taken out on the main road from 9.30 am. A souvenir will be released during the formal programme.

Retired teachers of the school will be felicitated. District In-charge minister Sa Ra Mahesh, MP Prathap Simha, MLCs Sunil Subramani and S L Bhojegowda will be the chief guests. Former minister and the committee’s honorary president Suma Vasant will be present, he said.

Committee vice president Shivakumar, treasurer Philomena and school headmistress H M Parvathi were present in the press meet.
