“Despite having the powerful and effective military intelligence the attack has happened. The question is how did this happen?” Parameshwara said. He was speaking to the reporters.

“I condemn the attack. I pray for the souls of the more than 27 people who lost their lives,” he said.

He urged the central government to take this seriously. “Such incidents have not happened since the Pulwama attack. Hindus have been targeted. It is indeed a worrying that the terrorists said “We are killing you because you are Hindu,” Parameshwara said.

If there is an intelligence failure, there must also be a security failure.

The central government will have to take some serious and firm decisions following the incident, he said. .
