Accusations that the funds have not been allocated equally to all wards in the city flew back and forth, and some areas were facing roadblocks as far as release of funds is concerned. Member T S Prabha, who spoke on the occasion, said the CMC has been given ` 30 crore, however, the money was not distributed equally among the wards. “Just because the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa gave the money, do you plan to give it only to wards which have BJP corporators?” she questioned, sarcastically.
She was joined by other members Mohammed Asgar, Shivanna, Mahadevaiah, Suresh Nayak and others, who were also vocal with their demand of equal distribution of the funds.

Commissioner B Krishnappa, who spoke on the occasion, said the CMC had received ` 12.10 crore under CM’s special fund, of which ` five crore was already released. An action plan was to be submitted by the supervision committee under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner.

Further, an e-tender is supposed to be invited. This has been discussed with the local MLA too, and an action plan will be drafted to meet the said amount, he added.

The plan will include drinking water facilities, development of graveyards, rain water harvesting facility among others to improve the image of the city. President Bhagyamma presided over the meeting, in the presence of officers.
