Women achieving success in all the sectors is a positive development, said Adichunchanagiri University Registrar Prof C K Subbaraya.
Speaking at the Chikkamagaluru mela, he said women should avail skill training and become self-sufficient. The NGOs should identify achievers and take up social works, he added.
AIT Principal C T Jayadeva called upon women not to neglect desi culture. Jewellery, garments and delicacies of Malnad were exhibited at the mela.
