Chiklihole dam near Rangasamudra in Northern Kodagu is full.

The dam which is one of the smallest dams in the catchment area of river Cauvery, is in spate, following heavy rain in Kodagu.

Tourists have been gathering to witness the scene of water overflowing from the dam, which is situated in the midst of Meenukolli Reserve Forest.

The dam does not have any crest gates and is built in the form of a well. As the inflow increases, the extra water flows out of the dam.

The height of the dam is 72.6 metres. 0.18 TMC water is collected in the dam.
