Tourists had begun to trickle at Nandi Hills on early morning itself. As a result, there were 200 vehicles parked around 5.30 am at Nandi Hills parking lot. Besides, there were still more cars waiting for parking space at Mirza Cross. In fact, the parking space at the Nandi Hills could accommodate 300 vehicles at a time.

Hence, the police had blocked entry way for vehicles until the parking lot had some space.

So much was the rush that those who arrived at 5.30 am at Nandi Hills entrance, could only reach the hills at 7.30 am. Many who were frustrated waiting in the vehicle, alighted from their vehicle and began to walk up to peak. The traffic was not eased even at 10.30 am.

Nandi Hills attracts tourists for its mist-covered peaks and visitors throng the hills, especially in winter season.
