According to sources, the detailed probe by CID officials didn’t yield any substantial evidence to back the claims made by Rajanna that he was honey-trapped by unknown persons. CID has now submitted the final report to the Karnataka government.

“I am yet to see the CID’s report. Once I go through it, I will respond,” said Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara on Thursday in Bengaluru.

In March this year, the CID was asked to probe the allegations after Rajanna had petitioned the government.

Briefing the press in Tumakuru, Rajanna stated that there was a man and two women who had met him twice.

"The woman who came to me the second time was wearing denim trousers and a blue top. She identified herself as a high court lawyer. She came on the pretext of discussing something personal and important," he claimed.

He had previously raised the issue during the legislative session.
