The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will probe the gang-rape and murder of a schoolgirl in Vijayapura district.
According to a statement from Chief Minister's Office, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed state police chief Neelamani N Raju to initiate a CID probe. The teenaged girl was on the way to school when she was kidnapped, gang-raped and murdered in Vijayapura on Tuesday.
