Sandur, Ballari district: A 12-year-old girl preparing to leave for school suddenly collapsed and died in her house in Kalingeri village of Sandur taluk on Monday.
The deceased Deeksha was studying in Class 6. The girl was first rushed to primary health centre in Choranur where the doctor referred her to Sandur for further treatment. However, she died on the way.
Local MLA Annapoorna Tukaram, tahsildar and executive officer of taluk panchayat visited the hospital. The medical officer of taluk hospital told DH that the exact cause of death could be known after post mortem.
