CM to inaugurate Spandana in Mangalore on June 22

Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Conference Convenor Vasanth Kumar Shetty said that the conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and will be presided over by Mangalore MLA N Yogish Bhat. Other ministers from the state and officers from Women and Child Welfare Department, Disabled and Senior Citizens Welfare Department will be the guest of honour.

The conference aims at providing a platform for the ensembling of specially abled children, their parents and teachers and non-staff members who work for those children, under one roof. The conference will provide an open forum for discussion about the facilities given by the government and the further demad for necessary aids, he said.

Adding to it he informed that the President of Mentally Challenged Civilians Parents Association Prof K R Venkatesh will give a talk on the National Endowment Act while Bangardka Vishweshwar Bhat will speak about the opinions of the parents of mentally challenged children.  President of Udupi Block Agnes Kunder, Vice president Maria Shruthi and member of the association Meera Sathish were present.
