Belagavi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah paid tributes to soldiers killed in road accident at Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir in the premises of Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre here on Thursday.

Remains of soldiers Subedar Dayanand Tirkannavar from Sambra in Belagavi and Mahesh Marigonda from Mahalingpur in Bagalkot were brought to the premises of MLIRC.

Siddaramaiah along with Social Welfare Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa and Women and Child Welfare Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar paid tributes to the soldiers.

"Demise of soldiers who guard our borders in the accident was loss to the nation. Government will come to the aid of the families by giving them relief as per norms," he said.

The CM condoling the their family members assured them help by the government.
