The CMC has undertaken the drive to stop the spread of diseases owing to lack of cleanliness.  CMC Commissioner Krishnamurthy directed the officials to close down Yadgiri hotel and Milan Coffee bar near Jain Temple on Friday. He said the hotels were issued notices to maintain cleanliness in the past. However, they did not adhere to the notice.

The two hotels were keeping the food open and were not washing the utensils in pure water. The public were not offered hot water to drink.  Junior Food Inspector Siddagangappa said “the hotels which have received notices should rectify the loopholes within seven days.  If they fail to set right the loopholes, then licenses of all such hotels will be suspended. Food Inspectors Rangappa, Umesh, Sunil and others were present.
