Dr Yatindra, son of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, said that he would act as bridge between the people and his father and serve the people of the state.

Speaking to mediapersons during his visit to the city on Wednesday, Yatindra clarified that he had not taken a plunge into politics, but would only help people solve their grievances, on the directions of his father.

He said, he would camp in Mysuru for at least two days in a week and people’s work would be his priority.

Hundreds of people met him and most of them submitted petitions about their problems. Many well-wishers offered him Mysuru peta (turban).

The petitions were handed over to the chief minister’s Joint Secretary M Ramaiah, who is in-charge of the Varuna Assembly constituency, represented by Siddaramaiah.
