CM's son Yathindra asks officials to expedite civic works

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Dr Yathindra held a meeting with officials at the CM’s residence at T K Layout in the city on Friday. Joint Secretary to Chief Minister M Ramaiah was also present.

Senior officials from the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), Chamun- deshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) and other departments also attended the meeting. According to sources, Dr Yathindra asked officials to address people’s issues at the earliest.

MUDA Commissioner Dr M Mahesh told DH that Ramaiah had summoned him over phone and asked him to come to the CM’s house. “When I visited, more than 50 people from different villages were present. The villagers submitted a memorandum to take up repair works of roads, drainage system and augmentation of other civic amenities in their respective villages. After receiving the letters, I returned to my work place,” said Dr Mahesh.

Earlier, Dr Yathindra conducted a public meeting at Kempisiddanahundi. After the meeting, Dr Yathindra said, drain works have been completed in the village and the remaining works will be taken up soon.

Yathindra said that he would apprise the CM about the pending works in the Public Works department, Irrigation department and in MUDA.
