Speaking with reporters after attending a daylong programme on revival of Coorg Oranges here on Tuesday, he said compensation issued so far in case of jumbo attacks was Rs 2 lakh. The persons injured due to wild tusker attack will be given Rs 50,000 each.
He further said a few hospitals will be selected in Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Chamarajanagar where elephant menace is most, to provide free treatment to victims of wild tuskers.
