Krishna has been in the news as the complainant in the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam, in which Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is the prime accused.

Now, if Krishna fails to repay the amount immediately, he will have to undergo imprisonment for six months.

Snehamayi Krishna had availed a loan from one Kumar of Lalithadripura, on the outskirts of Mysuru city, in 2015 and in return, Krishna had given a cheque from Merchants Co-operative Bank.

When Kumar deposited the cheque to the bank, it bounced. He filed a case before the court against Krishna.

On Thursday, the Third Judicial Magistrate of First Class (JMFC) Court found Krishna guilty in cheque fraud case. The latter said he would appeal against the judgment, before a higher court.
