Conference on governance tomorrow

 The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has organised a two-day regional conference ‘Minimum Government-Maximum Governance’ on December 14 and 15 in the City.

Delegates from across the country will participate in the meet which will be hosted by the State government and inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at 9.30 am on Monday.
Officials of the Central and state governments will also participate in the event.

The conference on GATI and Citizen Centric Delivery Services will focus on issues like ‘how to ease the governance process and increase its efficiency by application of big data analytics’, and ‘Financial inclusion through use of IT and mobility’.

It will also provide a platform for exploring ways of utilising IT in public transport. Various presentations and demonstrations will be conducted on these issues and a special panel discussion on the disruptions in public services delivery in transport will be held. The trending concept of start-up will also find prominent showcasing at the conference.  
A field visit to Cisco campus for a smart cities initiative demo has also been organised.
