Speaking to reporters, he said the officer had allowed BJP workers to celebrate the victory during the election to president and vice-president inside the taluk panchayat hall. Hence, he demanded, “action should be taken against the officer immediately.”
“Leaders of various political parties have alleged that the Central government had not released sufficient funds for Kadur - Chikmagalur railway development work. Let them clarify as to how much amount was released for the development of railway line when their parties were in power,” he challenged.
The State has failed to solve the issue related to land of the railway station.
The funds released by the Centre for the railway development work has not been utilised properly, he said adding that the State government should come forward to solve the issues.
The district committee of the Congress welcomes Centre’s budget, which was prepared taking into consideration all sections of the society, Mahesh said.
