Belagavi: Public Works Department and District Incharge Minister Satish Jarkiholi said that the issue of new KPCC president was not discussed with AICC General Secretary Incharge of State Randeep Singh Surjewala. We discussed government programmes and funds allocated to each MLAs.

Jarkiholi told reporters here on Friday that decision on new KPCC president has to be taken by high command. Discussions held with Surjewala were regarding the programmes implemented by the government in two years and funds released for MLAs for developmental works.

He said, inquiry report regarding the stampede during the RCBs IPL victory celebrations which led in stampede and deaths has been submitted by the judicial probe team. It was a wide report and government will study it and take action. RCB has not availed any permission from any department including the Public Works Department for the event.

Hidkal dam across river Ghataprabha has neared its maximum storage capacity of 51 TMC. Water discharge from the dam downstream into the river has commenced last week and today the discharge has been over 11,000 cusecs commensurate to the inflow, Jarkiholi stated.
