Mangaluru: Minister for health and family welfare Dinesh Gundu Rao said that public debate on Congress' internal political issues is not right.
“There is no use of making statements on change in KPCC president in public. The decision will be taken by the high command only,” he stressed while addressing media persons on Monday.
“The leaders can express their opinions before the high command,” he said while replying to a query on D K Shivakumar’s allegation that Siddaramaiah's name is being misused by some leaders and the statements of cooperation minister K N Rajanna's with regard to the KPCC president’s post.
AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge had asked leaders not to make any public statements. All leaders should adhere to party’s discipline.
On Rajanna’s statement that he is ready to accept the post of KPCC president, Dinesh Gundu Rao said that there is nothing wrong in Rajanna expressing his desire to become the party's state president.
