He was speaking at the meeting held in front of taluk office on Monday, called by Permanent Irrigation Action Committee to draw the attention of the government about the implementation of permanent irrigation project. He called upon the people to conserve conventional water resource and recharge  ground water.

Delay alleged

He alleged that the government is dilly dallying in getting the technical feasibility study from the Hydrabad institute.

Government should immediately pay the balance to the institute and get the report, failing which the committee with the public support will intensify the struggle and even gherao Vidhana Soudha and launch indefinite hunger strike, he warned.

Industrialist Hosur R Narasimharao, called upon the people of Kolar and Chikkaballapur to collectively bring pressure on the government to implement the report.

TMC Member Anantraj, Mallikarjun, Anand, Lakshminarayana Reddy, Taluk Panchayat Vice-President Prakash Reddy and others spoke.

TMC President Saraswati Nagesh, Vice-President Kantaraj, members Anantraj, Pramila Radhakrishna, Nagamani Chandranna, Padmavatamma, Anand Teertha of Machenahalli Jai Kisan Sangha, schools and college students, Raitha Sangha President Lakshminarayana and others took part in the meeting. They submitted a memorandum to tahsildar.
