Advocate P Krishnamurthy said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conspired to trap advocate Sanjeev Punalekar, in the case related to the murder of rationalist Dr Narendra Dabholkar.

The advocate was addressing mediapersons in Madikeri on Thursday.

Krishnamurthy said that Punalekar’s arrest is not constitutional. “The CBI officials should act as per the constitutional provisions. If they don’t, they fail in their duties,” he said.
