Bengaluru: Rural Development, IT-BT and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge has alleged that BJP was targeting him for being anti-Manusmrithi, anti-RSS and anti-Hindutva.
“The BJP and the RSS have been trying to find an excuse to malign me since i am a critic of their Manuvadi ideology. I believe in ideologies of Buddha, Basava and Ambedkar. I will not be cowed down by their campaign. I will not resign,” he asserted.
Taking potshots at the BJP poster campaign, he noted that by mere pasting of posters, the BJP will not achieve anything.
“If they have to prove anything, the BJP will have to come out with proof against me. Otherwise people will not trust them,” he said.
“Mere having a relationship with anyone will not prove anything. That way, we have many things to say about several BJP leaders. When the drug scandal broke out, we know what an actress said about Ashoka (Leader of the Opposition). The BJP leaders must have forgotten about what they had said about Silent Sunil, (a rowdy sheeter) and Santro Ravi. Merely having photographs will not prove anything. The BJP must come out with valid proof against me to seek my resignation. Otherwise, all their efforts will be futile,” Priyank said.
Maintaining that he would offer coffee and tea for BJP protestors, Priyank said that the BJP needs lot of strength to malign him and they need more power in their vocal chords to spread lie and hatred on January 4. “Along with tea and coffee, he was also ready to offer tender coconut water and lime juice when they come to lay a siege to his residence in Kalaburagi,” he said.
Posts clips of BJP leaders with Kapnoor
IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge posted video clips and photographs of BJP leaders sharing dais with Raju Kapnoor, who is named in the case related to suicide of contractor Panchal.
Tagging his post to BJP state president B Y Vijayendra, Priyank dared him to identify his own party leaders, who were sharing the dais with Kapnoor, while he was in the BJP. “You have been releasing photographs, when will you release these clips and photographs” he questioned Vijayendra.
