Dismissing opposition leaders' comments that Congress is doing mere celebration without achievement, he said, "Opposition leaders are spreading misinformation that there is no money for development since the funds are allotted for guarantee schemes. How can we now launch works worth Rs 2658 crore without money. Has any Party taken up so many developmental works in Mysuru during their tenures?" he questioned.

He was speaking to media persons at Mysuru Airport on Friday.

On BJP State President B Y Vijayendra's comment about announcing Mallikarjun Kharge as Prime Ministerial candidate, he said, "Kharge is the President of AICC. Let Vijayendra give up his post. Let them give the PM's post to an SC. It is only congress which is functioning as per the objectives of the Constitution and is committed to social justice."

Regarding extension of tenure of Krishna Bhagya tribunal by another one year, he said, "We do not oppose it. But the Union Government has not made gazette notification though the verdict was given by tribunal a decade ago. Although we have met concerned in this regard and requested. The inter-state dispute is between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. There are no hurdles for notification for Karnataka. We are not losing our rightful share of water as they have agreed to increase the height of the dam from 519 feet to 524.262 feet."
