Kumar and Suchitra enter into wedlock in front of Dr B R Ambedkar's statue in Kadur on Valentine's Day

Kadur: Kumar of Yagati and Suchitra of Purlahalli got married in front of Dr B R Ambedkar's statue in Kadur of Chikkamagaluru on Valentine's Day.
“Caste did not become a hindrance for our love. We only had a dream before us, to build our life together. No auspicious date and time was referred to before entering into this wedlock”, said 25-year old Kumar.
Despite hailing from different castes, Kumar and 20-year-old Suchitra had been seeing each other for quite some time.
On Friday, in front of their friends and family, Kumar and Suchitra tied the knot and exchanged garlands to mark their new beginning.
BJP Mandal vice president Jiganehalli Neelakanthappa said that the simple marriage without any display of wealth or excessive expenditure, is an ideal example to everybody. It has been proved again that real love does not see caste, creed or religion.
Taluk Madiga Samaja honourary president K Y Vasu, president Jagadish, general secretary Gangaraju, Sanagappa, Narayanaswamy and others were present at the ceremony.
