Addressing a press meet, he said unseasonal rains have caused havoc to the farmers. Paddy, ragi, potato, vegetables grown by the farmers have been damaged. Chief Minister should seek apology for speaking lightly on the loan waiver scheme.
Agriculture department, horticulture department and Coffee Board should assess the damage and submit a report to the government, he added.
JD(S) district Working President S L Bhoje Gowda said “district administration should not keep quite. District-in-Charge Minister should tour the district to assess the damages.”
