CRPF training centre launched in Bangalore

The centre, spread across 220 acres allotted by the Karnataka government, is situated at Taralu village on Kanakpura Road.

K Arkesh, Deputy Inspector General Police (DIGP), inaugurated the centre and stressed on the need for such an institute to the first batch of 1300 trainees.

The trainees have been selected from Karnataka, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Some of the components of the 44 week training would be jungle survival, behavioural science management, coping with work under stressful conditions. Once the trainees pass out, they will form 212 battalion.
