Sirwar, (Raichur district): Three people were killed and three others, including a woman, were injured after the vehicle (Cruiser) in which they were travelling rammed a stationary lorry near Sira on Sunday early morning.

The deceased have been identified as Basavaraj (30), the driver of the Cruiser vehicle and a native of Goladinni village, and Suresh (32) from Hirebadaradinni who died on the spot. Anand (24), who was severely injured, died at a hospital.

Among the injured, another Suresh has sustained severe injuries, while Veeresh and Nagamma from Goladinni, who suffered minor injuries, are receiving treatment at a hospital in Bengaluru.

The workers from Goladinni, Hirebadaradinni, and Nugadoni villages were on their way to Bengaluru in search of work.
