District In-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj called upon the people to join hands with the district administration in making Malpe and Padukare beaches as tourist destinations.
He was speaking at the valedictory of Udupi Parba and adventure festival organised by district administration, Tourism Department, Department of Sports and Youth Empowerment and General Thimmayya National Academy of Adventure on Sunday.
The district administration has decided to promote adventure sports in the district to promote tourism. There is ample of opportunities for the promotion of tourism in the district, he added.
The visitors were entertained by Sarigamapa team and later with fireworks.
CMC president Meenakshi Madhava, Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis and Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports principal secretary Rajaneesh Goyal and others were present.
