“No power, no sharing. Congress government will complete five years,” Shivakumar said. Earlier in the day, astrologer Vinay Guruji said Shivakumar would become the CM.

To this, Shivakumar said: “I request them to not issue statements about our government, which is stable. Siddaramaiah is the CM and we’re working with unity. There’s no need to predict anybody’s future.”

Meanwhile, speaking to reporters in Madikeri, Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi has said that the dinner meeting planned by Home Minister G Parameshwara has been postponed due to the visit of AICC general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala on January 13.

“The agenda for Surjewala’s meeting is not known yet. It will be clear once he arrives. The dinner was not canceled due to opposition from Deputy CM D K Shivakumar, as speculated. It has simply been rescheduled.”
