Addressing a peace meeting at the Superintendent of Police’s office here in the backdrop of the Ganesha Chaturthi and Ramzan festivals, he said sufficient bandobast will be done for both the festivals.

He urged the people not to pay heed to any kind of rumours and react on it.
One should compulsorily get approval letter to install Ganesha idol.

They should also strictly follow the guidelines given by the Pollution Control Board. Mikes can be used only in between 6 am and 10 pm.

One should also get approval before decorating pendals with electric bulbs, the DC said.
If any untoward incident happens in the place where the idol is installed, the organisation conducting the programme will be held responsible.

They should also see that there should not be much sound pollution during the processions, he advised.

DySP Putta Madaiah, Circle Inspector Siddaiah, Basavanahalli SI Ramesh and City SI Sharief were present at the meeting.
