The Deputy Director of the PU Board in Udupi district on Friday goofed up while releasing the list of colleges achieving cent per cent results. He had released the list of last year, hours after the PU Board announced results. The howler came to light when a college pointed it out.
When contacted, DDPU S S Shindha said that the list of the previous year was sent to “make a comparison” with this year’s, as the district missed the first position by a mere 0.29 per cent. The soft copy was mailed by the first division clerk (FDC) to the Information Department to be released to the press. So far, the DDPU has not bothered to release the correct list.
As per this year’s results, Poorna Prajna College, Udupi, Vidyodaya College, Udupi, Salihath PU College, Hoode, Jyothi PU College, Ajekaru, Green Valley PU College, Shiroor, Government PU College, Shirlalu, Government PU College, Palimaru, Excellent PU College, Sunnari, Kota and Carmel PU College, Kokkarne have achieved cent per cent results.
