Jagadish, chief executive officer of the Bhagandeshwara Temple committee, has clarified on the Kalasha of the temple that got delinked.

He has said that the iron rods on which the Kalasha was placed got oxidised. The rods were not hit by lightning, as reported, he has clarified.

“News, that the temple Kalasha was damaged due to lightning, is being circulated on social media. This, however, is not true. Also, the electric wires and the tiles have not been damaged,” he added.

“The Kalasha, which had been installed 12 years ago, however, was damaged as the iron rods on which it had been placed were rusted. This also resulted in the Kalasha getting dismounted,” said Jagadish.
