These were some of the demands made by activists of Rajya Raita Sangha ( B H Narasimaiah faction), Hasiru Sene and State Farmers’ Students Association on Saturday.

They staged a dharna in front of the Assistant Commissioner’s office seeking the fulfilment of the various demands of students and farmers.

Also, loan facilities should be provided by banks and other financial institutions to enable the JOC students to become self employed, the activists demanded.

Farmers should be provided with uninterrupted power supply, the price of milk that has been slashed should be increased and Chikkaballapur district should be declared as drought-hit, the protesters urged.

A memorandum was later submitted to the Assistant Commissioner.
