Former prime minister and MP H D Deve Gowda on Tuesday, opined that Karnataka should have got more than 40 tmcft of additional water in the allocation of Cauvery River waters.

Speaking to reporters, after inaugurating the Anjaneyaswamy temple at A Kalenahalli near Dandiganahalli in the taluk, Gowda said that he is not happy with the Supreme Court's final verdict on Cauvery River water-sharing dispute, that was announced recently.

"We have not cheated Tamil Nadu. If they dispute and start creating trouble in connection with the river water-sharing issue, we also have weapons to resist," he said.
