A day before the crucial floor test in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, former prime minister and JD(S) president H D Deve Gowda on Friday visited Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh for darshan and blessings of Lord Venkateswara.

Gowda, who came with his family members on his 86th birthday, was received with full temple honours by the temple officials and led for darshan. Later, he was presented ‘theertha prasadams’ and portrait of Lord Venkateswara by the TTD officials and Vedic pundits rendered ashirvachanams.

He was accompanied by wife Channamma, son and former minister H D Revanna, daughter-in-law Bhavani Revanna among others.
