JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda offered ‘Suprabhatha Puja’ to Goddess Sharadamba at the Sringeri temple at 5.30 am on Thursday.

Deve Gowda called on the seers Sri Bharathitheertha Swami and Vidhushekhara Bharati Swami at the Gurunivasa in Narasimha Vana, after visiting Thorana Ganapathy, Malahanikareshwara Hills, Durga Temple and Kalikamba Temple.

Interacting with the seers, Deve Gowda reportedly promised that he would come with his family to offer prayers at Rishyashringeshwara Temple in Kigga near Shringeri, as the state is facing drought situation.
