Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Vijayendra said that the state government is not able to provide even matching grants for many projects despite the release of funds from the Centre.

“Karnataka has received Rs 1.12 lakh crore as GST compensation which iswhich is highest among the states. The chief minister skipped the meetings of NITI Aayog, GST Council. But, he attended 16th Finance Commission meeting when BJP raised the issues pertaining to absence of development works and corruption,” he said.

Holding Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar responsible for death of 11 people in Bengaluru stampede, the state BJP president said both conducted the felicitation for RCB players in a hurry to gain publicity, despite the advice by the police officials against organising such a big event.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been providing good governance without any corruption charges for last 11 years.
