Mysuru: Following a report in DH on most of the tree bases on roadsides in Mysuru being concretised, DCF Mysuru territorial division, K N Basavaraju has written a letter to MCC Commissioner Sheikh Tanveer Asif asking him to take measures to deconcretise trees on priority in some major roads.

In the letter, DCF Basavaraj has also asked Commissioner Asif to include a clause in the tender documents that one meter space around the trees shall be left deconcretised; and be filled with soil to facilitate percolation of water to the roots to promote its health and survival during construction of roads/ pavements.
