Bengaluru" The All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) has demanded the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to withdraw its decision to charge Rs 750 from professional courses during the option entry.
However, the KEA claimed that it was an attempt to prevent seat blocking and also to keep track of the students.
“It is not an additional fee we are charging. It is part of the college fees and we are asking them to pay it in two parts, one before the counseling,” the KEA stated. However, the AIDSO argued that it would be a burden on students and said, “KEA is a government body and should not try to get profit out of education.”
